Ongoing construction of the Broadway Subway Project will be impacting traffic lanes and parking along Broadway from Great Northern Way to Arbutus Street. Access will be well maintained to Evolve Wellness Centre and surrounding businesses, including pedestrian access for people of all abilities. Please allow for extra time to get to your Evolve Wellness Centre appointment as traffic delays are expected.
Generally, there will be two lanes of traffic in each direction along Broadway, with priority for buses (routes 99 and 9) and emergency vehicles. Temporary lane closures on W. Broadway may be implemented weekdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. or on weekends, and delays can be expected. Trolley bus routes (4, 14 and 16) have already been detoured off Broadway.
Currently, there has been a reinstatement of right turns from W.Broadway onto Arbutus and Cypress streets. There has also been a reinstatement of dedicated left turn-lanes on W.Broadway onto Arbutus Street in both directions.
During construction, the contractor will reroute sections of the Arbutus and Central Valley greenways to temporary, safe cycling and walking detour routes. Please watch for detour signs. The 10th Avenue cycling route will be maintained.
Construction of the stations, the elevated guide-way, the tunnel portal and tunneling has portal has begun. The project is still on schedule for the new line to open in 2025.

Currently, parking is restricted on Broadway to support the efficient movement of buses and all traffic throughout the construction period.
At Evolve there is paid underground parking available that can be accessed from behind our building – 2025 West Broadway. You can access the paid parking garage from the west side by turning off Arbutus St. onto 7th or 8th Ave and then turning right onto Maple. To access from the east side of the clinic, use 8th Ave and turn left on Maple.
