Ongoing construction of the Broadway Subway Project will be impacting traffic lanes and parking along Broadway from Great Northern Way to Arbutus Street. Access will be well maintained to Evolve Wellness Centre and surrounding businesses, including pedestrian access for people of all abilities. Please allow for extra time to get to your Evolve Wellness Centre appointment as traffic delays are expected.

Generally, there will be two lanes of traffic in each direction along Broadway, with priority for buses (routes 99 and 9) and emergency vehicles. On some occasions, traffic will be down to one lane and delays can be expected. Trolley bus routes (4, 14 and 16) have already been detoured off Broadway.

During construction, the contractor will reroute sections of the Arbutus and Central Valley greenways to temporary, safe cycling and walking detour routes. Please watch for detour signs. The 10th Avenue cycling route will be maintained.

Construction of the stations, the elevated guide-way, the tunnel portal and tunneling has portal has begun. The project is still on schedule for the new line to open in 2025.

Parking Information:

Currently, parking is restricted on Broadway for about seven hours each weekday, in the morning and afternoon peak periods, with the curb lane dedicated to buses, taxis and cyclists. It is anticipated this will be extended 24/7 to support the efficient movement of buses and all traffic throughout the construction period. The Broadway Subway Project is working with the City of Vancouver to develop a parking management plan to address residential and business parking needs.

At Evolve there is paid underground parking available that can be accessed from behind our building – 2025 West Broadway. A construction equipment lay down area will be blocking access onto Maple street from West Broadway, and may impact street parking availability. To access our underground paid parking lot please use 8th avenue to enter the alley behind our building and proceed to the parking garage.

Please call the front desk at 604-255-7777 for more information and help finding our underground parking.
