Ms. Nancy Na is a graduate of the 3,000-hour program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. She obtained her registration as a Registered Massage Therapist in September 2016 and has been at Evolve Wellness Centre since then. She is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapy of British Columbia and Registered Massage Therapists Association of BC.
Ms. Na’s goal as a Registered Massage Therapist is to find the most effective treatment plan while working within her patients’ comfort levels. She believes that massage can and should be both relaxing and therapeutic without compromising treatment. She incorporates various techniques such as myofascial release, joint mobilization and Swedish, and has additional training in TMJ treatment, sacral balancing, fascial facet release and hot stone therapy. All these skills allow Ms. Na to provide a variety of options to plan treatments unique to each patient. She assesses through testing, observation, palpation and narrative.
Ms. Na has experienced first-hand how the compassionate, educational and team approach that Evolve offers its patients helps to achieve a healthy lifestyle balance and body wellness. She maintains her own healthy attitude by spending as much time as she can with her family (husband James and son Evan) and friends. When she has the time, Ms. Na also creates a variety of homemade skincare products and homemade dishes for her family and friends to enjoy.

Why Evolve? This is a calming environment where people feel safe and trust that the practitioners have their best interests at heart. We all work together to help develop the best treatment plans for patients. And I love that we learn from each other — it makes us better practitioners.
When I’m not at Evolve you can find me at home or with family. Since my son is the youngest of his cousins, it’s important for him to have a solid relationship with his extended family. Time is precious.
I’m concerned about the environment, particularly garbage waste. I am always trying to find ways to reduce and reuse.
Must-have items for Vancouver:
Car, water bottle and cell phone.
I love working with our patients because they trust us. This really helps when we are developing treatment plans for our patients.
I am interested in almost anything crafty. I love making lotions and soap, as well as cooking and baking. I try to make as many products at home as I can because it reduces plastic waste.
Basic necessities for work: Food (I always have a power bar on hand), a good cup of coffee, water and these days, a mask.
I’m influenced by my son. He is now at an age where he can be easily influenced by so many things positive or negative. I want to be the best mom I can be to him and I want him to know that it is ok to have a bad day once in a while.
