Having been a patient of Dr. Rahim’s at Evolve for many years leading up to the successful
conception of my son, throughout my pregnancy journey and motherhood I was fortunate to
have experienced a very healthy and pain free pre and postnatal period through ongoing
chiropractic care of my continually changing body. I was amazed by how healthy, strong and
balanced I felt which I had been made aware by many others around me was not always the
case. This really emphasized how strongly proper care and attention before and during the pre
and postnatal period was.

As an experienced Personal Trainer and Holistic Nutritionist in the health and fitness industry,
knowing there was the proper care available from a practitioner’s standpoint, I wanted to bridge
the gap between their expertise and getting women moving and healing their bodies safely and
confidently. This led me to create Midline Movement & Health. Providing pre and postnatal
training and rehab services to pregnant women and mothers within my own community and
around the world. My mission is simple – to help you stay healthy and fit during and after giving
birth!

There is science behind what kind of movement is challenging and HELPFUL for a woman after
she has given birth. My focus on rehabilitation of the core and pelvic floor functions along with
postural alignment and strength is what sets you up for proper healing. By incorporating
applicable strategies to restore your bodies optimal functions, you accelerate your recovery and
return to the activities and the lifestyle you enjoy which is vital to your physical health and
well-being.

Whether you’ve given birth recently or if it’s been a year or more, it’s never too late to rehab
your body back to health. The rehabilitation principles of progressive overload, neurological
connection, and simply showing up for yourself always apply – no matter when you put them
into practice. Every time you ignore or push through your symptoms, you’re chipping away at
your buffer of health. That buffer or foundation is what’s going to keep you healthy and pain
free as you age.

It’s time to change the narrative and fill the gap during the postpartum phase of motherhood
through education, empowerment, and proper movement. Urinary incontinence, pelvic organ
prolapses, painful intercourse and the many other symptoms experience postpartum are
common but not normal.

Finding the right mix of strengthening and healing is a good place to start! This is where I come
in. Visit www.midlinemovement.ca, or my Instagram handle @midlinemovement to see what
I’m up to or to get in touch today!
