Why Evolve? A long story short: at SFU I tore my ACL and meniscus in my first two years playing basketball for the varsity team. After the second injury I was considering hanging up the shoes for good because I couldn’t imagine doing the same rehab and expecting a different outcome other than continuing to get injured. Thankfully, I was sent to Dr. Shamira shortly after my fourth knee surgery in 2007. Once I started under her care, I realized how good I could feel in my body, and went on to play two successful, healthy seasons at SFU. Her care had such a profound impact on my health I decided to pursue a chiropractic degree. To me, Evolve represents high-quality holistic care, and an environment that is truly supportive and nurturing to the whole person who comes into the office, which as a healthcare provider, is what I wish to contribute to the world. The fun, cohesive team we have is an added bonus!

I love working with our clients because our patients are diverse, enthusiastic and keen to take an active role in their healing process.

When I’m not at Evolve you can find me at yoga, in the mountains, at home sewing and cooking/ dancing (simultaneously) in the kitchen, and spending time with family and friends.

Basic necessities for work: Mask, hair-tie, clothing that is not restrictive, laptop

I’m concerned about the state of our world right now, with a special interest in climate change and how we can all take steps to build a more sustainable society.

Go-to morning drink: French press coffee with gluten-free oat milk and a splash of maple syrup

I’m impressed by people who pick up and move to a completely different country, especially one where they don’t speak the language.
